Heritage Arts Texas
Welcome to Heritage Arts Texas!
Retreat 2014

Our plans for the annul retreat are complete, if you haven't signed up, this may be your last chance as the list is nearly full.  Our teachers this year are Sue and myself, of course, teaching kumihimo and resist dyeing. But we have added Mary of ButterflyGirl Designs; teaching carding to create the batt of your dreams & spinning those wonderful batts to the yarn equally of your dreams including core spinning a magical wonder yarn and Dawn Burns, fiber adjunct instructor at McClennan Comm. College, adding card weaving to our skills.  We will have all of the supplies you need included but bring any special beads you would love to add to a wrist distaff or kumihimo braid.  We will also have a floor loom set up so that everyone, during the weekend, can weave a washcloth to remember their weekend.

The total cost is only $200, with a deposit of $100 due now.  This includes all supplies and food and drink and a beautifully relaxing stay at what has to be the most gorgeous retreat center- Brazos House in Glen Rose.( www.brasozhouseretreat.com )  Remember that this is a very exclusive retreat, only allowing 20 Fiberholics.  There are only a few spot left open! The only added cost would be whatever extra you wish to purchase from ButterflyGirl Designs, and you know how beautiful Mary's fibers are!

We have a theme this year- picture a wonderful weekend in the South Seas.  So bring a grass skirt if you dare.

Sit and Spin with Heritage Arts Fiber Studio

A relaxing drive in the country will lead you to Heritage Arts Fiber Studio. We are a warm and welcoming shop that will take time to help you with the exploration of the fiber arts. Join us in the age old traditions of weaving, spinning and dying yarn.

We opened our doors in 1994 in the corner of an organic garden store on North Main Street in Cleburne, Texas, and over the years we have grown and changed. The shop is now located in the recreated 1880's township of Chisholm Fork on the Beaumont Ranch, one mile east of Grandview, Texas which is just a short drive south of the DFW metroplex.
